Product Lead (Analytics)

  • Managing the analytics product within a healthcare software application, including functional and non-functional design. 
  • Designing and developing a reporting repository and development of standard/out of the box reports, metrics, predictive graphs, emailed reports and dashboards using SQL, Postgres and R and data visualization tools. 
  • Conducting Architecture & Design reviews to ensure that quality software engineering processes (DevOps) and methodologies in the space of Data Warehouse/Data Lake designs. 
  • Participating and advocating the Agile Framework process and methodologies including scrum sprint planning, retrospectives, story points and backlog grooming 
  • Strategic planning, project scheduling, and developing & implementing processes in line with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 
  • Overseeing the preparation of conceptual, logical & physical data models from the Data Analyst and Data Architect 
  • Assisting in designing the test strategy, test plan & test cases and liaise with the QA team to ensure a high-quality application and associated data sets. 
  • Understanding and overseeing the Release Management processes for upgrades to the application 
  • Overseeing efficient ETL processes and business rule definitions from the transactional application to the analytics application. 
  • Leading a small business intelligence focused technical team on delivering the analytics software application and business intelligence content and underlying data structures. 
  • Liaising with senior clinical stakeholders to understand reporting requirements now and their vision for future healthcare-related analytics and data visualization techniques. 
  • Has a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a technical / data discipline; 
  • Has a minimum of 6-8+ years of experience in building and leading Business Intelligence teams with expertise in understanding user requirements, business intelligence terminology including data science, data visualisations, ETL processes and data warehouses concepts; 
  • Experience in Amazon services and healthcare is an added advantage. 
  • Should have worked and experienced in data visualization tools. 
  • Understand data science concepts and able to integrate into a BI tool 
  • Experience in dimensional modelling, designing data marts, star and snowflake schemas 
  • Strong experience in developing and customizing Reports and Dashboards, through understanding the data structures, business rules and reason for the reports 
  • Understanding ISO27001 and Information Security best practices to safeguard data 
  • Working experience with design and work with other team members in transitioning of designs and execution. 
  • Strong, motivational leadership qualities to keep the project moving and in line with stakeholder expectations 
  • excellent communication skills including English in both technical and non-technical language 
  • be able to work with minimal supervision and in a team in different locations 
  • be enthusiastic, results-oriented and have attention to detail 
  • show initiative and have a positive work ethic 
  • core values of integrity, flexibility, reliability, commitment and experience in working with different cultures 
  • confidence to lead architecture workshops with Australian senior management 
  • have experience with Agile principles and development methods 
  • passion for data, technology and innovative software 
  • be able to think strategically 
  • Experience in healthcare systems and Amazon Web Services will be highly regarded.
