Getz Clinical will play a key role in helping Shifa International Hospital (Shifa) achieve its Joint Commission International (JCI) re-accreditation. Shifa is the first Pakistan-based public limited hospital to be accredited by JCI in 2017. Recently, it submitted its re-accreditation requirement by including the implementation of Getz Clinical Connect as part of its quality improvement project.
Shifa initiated the said project in July 2020 and the system of Getz Clinical has been 100% utilised ever since. Among the goals of the project was to integrate Getz Clinical Connect in the hospital’s operating theatre and accomplish the following:
- Improved patient care
- Fast data entry
- Timely decision-making for good patient outcomes
- Efficient resource utilization
- Automate scheduling surgery procedures
Getz Clinical Connect allows Shifa to automatically capture patient data, accurately manage patient records, and generate patient reports. The system also has integrated bookings, making operating theatre management more efficient.
“We have always been committed to improving the quality of healthcare. Our accreditation with JCI affirms that commitment. We are confident that with the help of Getz Clinical Connect we can ensure the success of our quality improvement project”, said Mr. Erasto G. Brombuela, Associate General Manager - Operating Room at Shifa International Hospital. “To maintain our JCI accreditation, we need to ensure that we are up-to-date with new standards and continuously work on process improvement, and we believe Getz Clinical can help us achieve that goal” he added.
